KettleHouse Amphitheater
I just grabbed my tickets to see Sierra Ferrell at the KettleHouse Amphitheater July 26th, and if you love live music then you NEED to do the same!
She has this wild, genre blending sound that pulls strings from Country, folk, bluegrass and even a little bit of Jazz, like a front porch jam session with ghosts of old timey Americana.
Her voice is pure magic, equal parts haunting and angelic, and she makes every song feel like a story you have to hear from beginning to end.
And her live shows? Unreal. She brings this raw, free spirited energy that makes every venue she plays at something intimate and yet electric at the same time!
She is the type of musician you’ll want to say you knew before she blew up even more that she has now, so go grab your tickets by hitting the “Buy Tickets Now” button!
Sierra Ferrell is an American Singer songwriter and musician from West Virginia. Her music is an intimate blend of elements from folk, bluegrass, gypsy jazz and Latin styles like tango and calypso music styles. You won't want to miss out if she comes to the Kettlehouse Amphitheatre on the 26th of July for a Saturday that you've never seen before.
She started her journey off by playing the clarinet and singing in her school choir and this led her to eventually learning to play the guitar, and boy are we glad she did! She went on to perform Shania Twain covers at the local bars and then went on to self-release two albums. One of which was “Pretty Magic Spell” released in 2018 and the other is “Washington by the Sea” in 2019 which she sold whilst busking, which is playing whilst traveling and taking donations.
In 2018 she was playing “In Dreams” and someone recorded it and put it on YouTube which let her to gain millions of followers and the video attracted millions of views. “A Long Time Coming” was released in 2021 and received critical acclaim as well as peaking at number 15 on the Billboard Americana and folk albums chart. Some critics have mentioned that‘ “Long Time Coming” will easily be the only album of its type emerging from the Music City of Nashville this year’ which should be reason enough for you to click that buy tickets button and go and have the time of your life while watching this amazing artist do her thing.
Sierra Ferrell also collaborated with shakey graves on the 4th song from his album “move of the week” the song was titled “ready or not” was recorded in two hours only! How insane is that! In March of 2024 she released her fourth album Titled “trail of flowers” in which she aimed to make people feel nostalgic for the past but excited about the future of music still to come. And she did exactly that. this album continued to build on her genre bending sound.
Paste magazine Has said that her writing was more vibrant than ever during this time. “trail of flowers” has been awarded album of the year and she was awarded artist of the year as well. She is a force to be reckoned with. Sierra Farrell was nominated for four Grammys, Four!
